The New Windsor Fair and Rodeo Queen Contest
The queen pageant will be held Saturday August 3, 2013, at The Big Red Barn/Parker Run Vinyard. The doors will open at 6:30 PM, with the pageant beginning at 7:00 PM. Admission is a $3.00 donation.
The pageant is open to young women age 14 to 19 by July 1, 2013. The contestant must reside in the communities of New Windsor, Viola, Swedona or Alpha; be actively affiliated with either the Presbyterian, or Lutheran churches of New Windsor; or be a member of the New Windsor 4-H Drill Team. The pageant is judged on the following criterea: Interview, Talent, Speech and Formal wear. The queen and her court will reign over the fair and rodeo, where they will be present at all events and will present awards at the Kiddie Parade, Horse Show and Rodeo Run.
In conjunction with the Queen Pageant there is also a Little Princess Pageant. The Little Princess Pageant will run concurrently with Queen Pageant on August 3. The contestants must be 6 - 8 years of age by July 1, 2013. The contestant must be an active member of the New Windsor Presbyterian or Lutheran Churches of New Windsor or reside in the communities of New Windsor, Viola, Swedona or Alpha. The Little Princess' duties are similar to those of the Queen.
